OPENING & CLOSING MAJOR EVENTS


1. PAINT THE NIGHTOPENING EVENT

Moona Moona Creek Reserve
Sat 21 May 4:30 – 6:15pm

Come enjoy this free community and theatrical event which will open the 2016 Seechange festival program in a spectacular fashion. ‘Paint the Night’ will be staged around the Moona Moona Creek Reserve on the eve of the full moon. Featuring light painting directed by award- winning photographer Peter Solness, accompanied by a unique soundscape created by Syd Green.

Images taken on the night will be projected on to a large outdoor screen. Light sculptures, created by students and artists will illuminate the shoreline of Moona Moona Creek and a creative line up of other events will follow.

Participate:To be a light painter, you must be 12 and over and register with Leslie Lockwood 4441 7284 lesleith@ozemail.com.au by 1 May, only 60 places available.

7. SEE OF LIGHT – CLOSING CEREMONY

Jervis Bay Maritime Museum Dent St Huskisson
Sun 12 June 5-9pm. Parade starts at 5pm. 

Special Guest Digital Artist Craig Walsh

The festival closing ceremony will provide something rather extraordinary. After the lantern parade, that  the kids can join, a night of unusual light, sound and mystery will take shape. Expect the unexpected.
Dress warmly, bring a torch. Food and Drink Street, market style.

Parents who would like their children to be in the parade and carry lanterns should email:enquiries@jbmm.asn.au by June 3 to register.
