Under 18 Poetry Prize

The under 18 poetry prize was awarded to Sanctuary Point Public School for the excellent entries from the primary students. Their teacher is Helen Rhodes

 Open Poetry Prize

The judge for the Seechange Open Poetry Competition was Irene Wilkie, well known poet who has published books as well as winning numerous prizes and awards.

Her award goes to : “You Were my Love” ( a pantoum), by Chere Le Page.

Winners of the Poetry Slam

Shae Lamond won the poetry Slam Competition for the poem she wrote whilst sipping coffee at The 5 Little Pigs. John Walker and Annette Pham’ poems were highly commended.

Seechange Illuminate Art Prize 2016 Winners:

-First Prize of $2000 cash has been awarded to: Linda Dening for her installation titled Autumn
-The Highly Commended prize of $500 is awarded to: Ian Scott for his bronze sculptures titled The Vision
-The other Highly Commended of $500 is awarded to: Judy Panucci for her artwork titled Nature of Memory 2.

Seechange 2016 kicked off last weekend in a spectacular fashion with over 6,000 people attending a variety events held in and around the Jervis Bay and Basin areas. The community and visitors from afar lined the shoreline of Moona Mooona ck to watch and participate in an interactive photographic artwork “Paint the Night”, orchestrated by Sydney photographer Peter Solness who officially opened the festival.

Printed Programs are out now. Pick up from local cafes, galleries, shops, JBMM or various other locations supporting SeeChange.

SeeChange Super Festival  Raffle – we’d like some extra volunteers to help sell tickets. Please email seechangefestival@jervisbayarts.asn.au if you can take a book or two.

Volunteers are needed to help distribute Programs if you going places like Sydney, Wollongong, Bowral, Canberra and can drop programs at good locations please contact Sue 0414856965

Volunteers also needed to help out at SeeChange Community Events setting up and packing up. Email seechange@jervisbayarts.asn.au
