2016 Event Organisers EoI + Forms

The festival Committee wish to give a huge Thank You to all those art enthusiasts who have committed to putting on an event in this 9th SeeChange Festival. We have 100 events on the program, a new record.

Event Expressions of Interest are now closed.

Artists wishing to take part In Art In park however have until April 14th to register , see below for details.

Here are some important final practical details for Event Organisers.

JBBArt’s membership

All Event Organisers and Artists involved in exhibitions and events must be members of JBBARTS. Membership is essential for insurance cover. If you are not a current member of JBBARTS go to www.jervisbayarts.asn.au for details.

Public Liability Insurance requirements:

Jervis Bay & Basin Arts (JBBA) is arranging for Public Liability Insurance for the Festival as a whole and also holds Group Personal Accident insurance for its members. However, in addition our insurer requires that you

 Complete and return the enclosed Risk Management document.

 Check the currency for your own or your venue’s Public Liability insurance and supply this information at the top of the attached risk management form

If you have taken part in previous Seechange Festivals, you will already be familiar with this process. Please revisit your previous risk assessment to ensure that there have been no changes at your venue that need your attention. Forward us a copy for this Festival. If you are taking part in SeeChange for the first time or you are using a new venue, don’t panic. The document is set up to lead your through the likely issues you need to consider. It is a useful process to alert you to any accident and other risk at your venue and to help you consider how to eliminate or minimise them. Delete any sections which do not apply to you and add any that you think are not covered by the general document. Sign off and send us a copy. This process is not optional.

Meet the Artists Function:
We remind you that this function is your responsibility. You may serve a limited amount of complimentary wine at your function provided that it is legal and/or not against the policies at your venue to do so. No alcohol sales.

Publicising your event:
We remind you that you are responsible for the preparation, cost and distribution of any specific flyers or invitations you plan for your event. Official Festival Programs will be allocated to your event and you will be notified where to collect them, we ask that you assist us by distributing these widely through your own networks. You will also receive some posters or postcards, signs and flags to mark you venue entrance. (Major signage will be erected by us.)
As well as program distribution, JBBA is advertising the Festival widely via the press and radio, via our website and facebook page, and provision of signage in the area.

Event Manual

You will receive an Event Manual, with information for the smooth running of your event including OHS, risk assessments and accounting procedures.

Visitation statistics:

It is important that visitor statistics are collected for the Festival. Paperwork to record visitation will be in your event manual.
